Territory Manager – Memphis, TN

Company Background:

Dyke Industries is a privately held company which has been in business since 1866. Dyke Industries, Inc. is the corporate successor to two millwork manufacturing companies, Dyke Bros., established in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1870, and Cole Manufacturing Company, established in Memphis, Tennessee 1866. The company in its present form was incorporated in 1942. Our fourteen distribution outlets are strategically located providing 18 states with a broad line of residential and commercial building materials including interior and exterior doors, millwork, and windows. Dyke has always been a forerunner in the millwork industry because of the belief in service, quality, and stability.

Our mission statement is clear: To be the leader in the markets we service by delivering a quality product at a competitive price on time and complete.

Position Description: 

  • Calling on established builder customers and cold-calling on target builders in the Memphis market
  • Job-site visits daily for all on-going jobs to coordinate with superintendents and crews.
  • Working with inside sales to have all orders in the system in a timely manner.
  • Participating in local HBA chapters to grow company profile with builders
  • Establishing relationships with key vendors to help grow builder business – including builder trips to vendor plants.
  • Calling on local architects/designers to promote Dyke Industries and our vendor partners.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty and integrity
  • 2 years of experience selling directly to builders in the Memphis market.
  • Background in millwork/building products/windows is preferable.
  • Track record of success in sales to builders/contractors.
  • Detail-Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well
  • Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.

Job Type: 

  • Full-time 
  • At this time, we will only accept candidates who are presently eligible to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship.

Pay/Compensation: 

  • Starting salary based on prior experience.
  • Will convert to full commission pay once sales are established.
